Economic gas
storage
In recent years large seamless pressure vessels have especially become
established for the storage and transportation of large quantities of
compressed gases. These large vessels are usually combined into complete gas
storage systems. This has the following advantages:

Large storage volumes in conjunction with high working pressures
Limited space requirement
Compact units
Few connections
Straightforward and clearly arranged manifolding

That means: such
storage systems are especially economical.
In our plant we produce pressure vessels from seamless steel tubes in a
broad dimensional spectrum for a multitude of applications. This covers,
for instance, trailers for hydrogen transport, gas storage units for
nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, argon, etc. or breathing gas storage systems
with multiple vessels for helium/oxygen mixtures for use on deep sea diving
ships or offshore platforms.
Design, calculation, construction
We
determine the optimal pressure vessel dimensions and the most economic
design solution on the basis of customer data and requirements.
The problem
set can be, for instance, to obtain the maximum gas storage capacity for a
deep sea diving gas storage unit in a restricted space. In other cases the
onus is on a favourable ratio of gas volume and total weight, for instance
for semi-trailers for gas transportation.

MCS Rapid Closure System
Our pressure vessels can, of course, be supplied with many varying end
executions according to prevailing international standards. In recent years
the rapid closure system developed by MCS has become established worldwide
since it has a number of convincing advantages compared to conventional
connection types.
