A company with tradition

MCS International GmbH (formerly Mannesmann Cylinder Systems) has produced high pressure gas cylinders and pressure vessels for over 100 years. By the way the invention of the seamless tube production process by Reinhard and Max Mannesmann contributed significantly to the manufacture of seamless high pressure cylinders.

1887

August Thyssen commissioned the Dinslaken plant as an extension of the August Thyssen Hütte in Duisburg.
1911 Steel cylinder production commenced.
1970 The plant was integrated into Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG (MRW).
1990 MRW acquired IWKA Stahlflaschen GmbH in Homburg/Saar.
1998 Re-named Mannesmann Cylinder Systems (mcs).
2000 As a result of the reorganisation of the Mannesmann group the company was sold and operated under the name "mcs cylinder systems GmbH".
2003 Re-names MCS International GmbH
